When Sydney was only 7 years old, she was snatched at a play ground. Nobody saw the kidnapper or her even getting kidnapped. For the next 9 years, she was tortured, fed only scraps, was forced to wear a collar and was chained to a wall in the basement. She was basically treated like a dog. She grew accustom to it over time but she never became comfortable with the way she was treated. Luckily, she wasn’t forced to do anything sexual. She was only let go because her kidnapper shot himself, ending his life.
Being sent into the real world, as a 16 year old girl, she knew nothing. She wasn’t at her correct reading and writing level. She knew how to read and write, just not as well. She tried school but she never seemed to be able to do anything, teachers got frustrated with her very easily. She was put in the lower learning classes but even then it didn’t work for her. Not knowing what to do, Sydney’s parents sought help. After months of therapy, and no success, they decided it’d be best to send her to Hillcrest.
- Isn’t trusting of others, especially older males since her kidnapper was an older male - not really old, mid 30s.
- Isn’t attracted to anyone due to not being able to develop those social skills.
- Isn’t extremely talkative.
